Driver requirements
Ontario licence classes are not a simple hierarchy. Class G is a passenger-vehicle licence. Other classes, including commercial classes, authorize different vehicles. A driver is eligible only when the licence they hold matches the vehicle and the position. Holding Class G does not by itself qualify someone for every truck, and holding a commercial class does not replace a requirement stated for a specific job.
- Valid Ontario Class G or other applicable driving licence.
- Applicants must meet the licence requirements for the specific driving position.
- Professional and responsible attitude.
- Ability to provide required employment information.
- Additional commercial qualifications or endorsements where required for the vehicle and position.
